Sambalpur: Railway Dualization Work of City Station and Maneshwar is completed
Sambalpur: The railway doubling work between Sambalpur-Talcher is almost complete. The dualization of this section has been completed except for 5 km between Sambalpur Junction and Sambalpur City Station. The electrification work has already been completed. On Tuesday, South Eastern Circle Railway Safety Officer AM Choudhury inspected the safety of the remaining part of the project between Sambalpur City and Maneshwar station.
During the inspection, Mr. Chowdhury inspected the overhead equipment, new railway concept, newly constructed poles, code and telecommunication equipment, level crossing, etc. A speed trial was also conducted between the two stations in his presence. Railways said that after the inspection of CSR, the trains will run soon on the new Doubling line between the two stations and rail traffic will be facilitated in Mandal. During his visit on Tuesday, Mandal Chief Secretary Vineet Singh, East Coast Railway Chief Administrative Officer (Construction) P. Srinivas along with senior officials of East Coast Railway Headquarters and Sambalpur Mandal were present.
