Sambalpur: A 10th class student drowned in Haradjor Canal

Sambalpur: A 10th class student drowned in the Haradjor canal of Dhanupali police station on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Abhijit Jena, 15, son of Rabindra Jena of Mahabirpada. He went to the Haradjor Canal on Sunday morning to take a bath. But for some reason he drowned.

He was rescued two hours later by police and locals. He was rushed to the Sambalpur District Headquarter Hospital. There the doctor pronounced him dead. Dhanupali police are investigating.
