Sambalpur: Aditya Aluminium Organized Grand Farmers’ Meet; 57 Farmers Provided with Solar-Powered Water Pumps

Sambalpur: On January 10, 2025, Aditya Aluminium Lapanga welcomed the New Year by organizing the ‘Farmer Meeting 2025’ at R.R. Colony, Ludhapali. The event emphasized the slogan: “The Nation Progresses with Farmer Development.”

Solar-Powered Water Pump Project Launched

Aditya Peripheral Development Department launched the Solar-Powered Water Pump Project during the event. The initiative aims to empower local farmers by enhancing their skills and organization. This year, the project included 57 progressive farmers, promoting modern irrigation techniques for improved crop yields.

Awareness on Government Schemes

Officials coordinated with various departments to raise awareness about government schemes and benefits available to farmers. The event also provided insights on how to access these facilities.

Knowledge Sharing by Experts

The program featured several prominent speakers sharing valuable agricultural insights:

  • Himanshu Shekhar Sahu, Joint Director, Horticulture Department, discussed multiple government schemes and encouraged organic farming practices.
  • Jagannath Prasad Nayak, Project Head, motivated farmers to adopt innovative methods and highlighted the importance of collaboration with government initiatives for agricultural progress.
  • Vinoda Nanda Thakur, Head of Human Resources, promised continued efforts for regional development.

Participation of Agricultural Experts and Officers

The event hosted various experts and officials, including Dr. Sanjukta Mahapatra, Joint Director, Dr. Amrita Panda from the Block Livestock Department, Ashish Mishra of the Murttika Agriculture Development Centre, and Subhasree Jena, Block Agriculture Officer. They shared advanced agricultural techniques and motivated farmers to adopt modern practices for improved productivity and sustainable growth.

Over 350 Farmers Participated

More than 350 farmers attended the event. Various agricultural products, tools, and modern equipment were showcased for demonstration purposes.

Solar Water Pumps Distributed to Farmers

The event concluded with the distribution of solar-powered water pumps to enterprising farmers, supported by Kumudini Enterprises. The Bhalududia Colony Committee members and Regional Development Officer, Manoranjan Behera, supervised the successful execution of the event, earning praise from the local community.
