OSSSC Announces Preliminary Exam Results

The Odisha Subordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) had conducted the preliminary examination in September 2024 for various posts including Revenue Inspector (RI), ICDS Supervisor, Assistant Revenue Inspector (ARI), and Amin.

Now, OSSSC has officially declared that all candidates who appeared in the preliminary exam have qualified. This announcement has been made through a press release from the commission.

All Eligible for Mains Exam – With One Exception

According to the OSSSC, everyone who took the prelims is eligible to appear for the main examination. However, the exact dates for the main exam will be announced later.

At the same time, one candidate each from nine different districts has been disqualified from appearing in the main examination. These candidates were found guilty of cheating during the preliminary exam. The districts from which the disqualified candidates belong are Bargarh, Balasore, Boudh, Cuttack, Ganjam, Jajpur, Kandhamal, Keonjhar, and Sonepur.

Action Against Unfair Practices

OSSSC has clarified that these specific candidates will not be allowed to sit for the main exam due to malpractice during the prelims. This decision has been welcomed by many students and student organizations, especially those promoting fairness and transparency in recruitment exams.

Exam Timeline Recap

The preliminary exams were held from September 20 to October 8, 2024.
