Since this is the first such incident in the entire state, the administration has asked that necessary action be taken after conducting a statutory investigation of the incident. According to the information, Dukhi, a widow of Gobindpur village under Sonpur block, had been staying at her daughter’s house in Basurpali village for about 2 months. She was from a very poor class and used to make a broom and use it to raise her expenses. Yesterday, Monday morning, she went to the nearby Kaiful village to cut sticks to make a broom.
