Anganwadi association talks with Union Secretary
Sambalpur: The families of Anganwadi workers will get Rs 2 lakh if they die while on duty. You will also get Rs 500 per month for mobile vouchers. The information was given by Inder Pandey, Secretary, Women and Child Development, during a meeting of the West Odisha Anganwadi Workers and Assistants Union in New Delhi on Monday. A delegation led by Prashant Padi, the union’s host, met with Women and Child Development Secretary Inder Pandey at his New Delhi Shastri Bhavan office and handed over a 21-point demand letter. Anganwadi workers were given employment conditions in the education policy, primary teacher status, 21,000 allowances, 10,000 pensions, increase in SNNP rates, labor standards, vacancies in various departments, death benefits of Rs 10 lakh, employment status for mini workers and so on. Secretary Pandey promised to pay Rs 2 lakh for mobile vouchers and Rs 500 per month if he dies while on duty.
Mr. Padhi and his staff met with Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to discuss the new education policy. Later, he met Labor Minister Bhupinder Yadav and demanded that Anganwadi workers and helpers be given labor status. The delegation included General Editor Prabhasini Padhi, Joint Host Balkrishna Vhoi, Kanak Pradhan, Mamata Pradhan, Kutamala Kalo, Rathi Tirkey and Taruni Nayak.
