Balancing Devotion and Rest: Ram Lalla’s One-Hour Break in Ayodhya Temple Schedule
In a recent decision, it has been announced that Ram Lalla, the deity at the Ayodhya temple, will now take a daily one-hour rest in the afternoon. This decision has led to the implementation of a new time limit for devotees visiting the Ram temple for darshan, starting from Friday, as reported by ‘Times Now.’
The chief worshiper has expressed concerns over the health of Ram Lalla, emphasizing that, being a 5-year-old deity, he should not be subjected to excessive strain. This move comes as an effort to prioritize the well-being of the divine figure.
The sacred city of Ayodhya has witnessed a continuous influx of devotees since the grand ceremony of Ram Lalla’s Pran Prathistha ritual on January 22. To accommodate the growing number of visitors, the temple trust had extended the darshan time from 6 am to 10 pm. Since January 23, Ram Lalla has been waking up at 4:00 a.m. every day for worship.
Acharya Satyendra Das, witnessing the constant devotion and extended hours of worship, expressed concern about the well-being of Shri Ram Lalla. He emphasized that as a 5-year-old, the deity should not be kept under the pressure of continuous worship for 18 hours. To address this, the temple gate will now be closed every day from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm, providing a one-hour break for Ram Lalla to rest, ensuring the health of both the deity and the devotees.
