BJP’s Puri Lok Sabha candidate Sambit Patra said mistakenly made a controversial comment about Lord Jagannath, 3-day fasting will be observed as an act of repentance
During an interview with a specific media outlet, BJP’s Puri Lok Sabha candidate Sambit Patra mistakenly made a controversial comment about Jagannath, which led to an uproar. Following this incident, Sambit Patra himself clarified the matter, expressing regret for the mistake. He took to the social media platform ‘X’ to apologize, stating that he is seeking forgiveness at the feet of Lord Jagannath for the error.
In addition, he mentioned that he would observe a three-day fast to atone for such a mistake. Yesterday, Sambit Patra made this controversial remark inadvertently during Modi’s roadshow. Following Sambit’s comment, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik tweeted, stating that it was an insult to Lord Jagannath. Similarly, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge also criticized the comment on ‘X’. However, Sambit Patra has already apologized for the mistake.
Yesterday around 8 AM, Prime Minister Narendra Modi started his roadshow in a well-decorated vehicle. Accompanying him were BJP State President Manmohan Samal and Puri MP candidate Sambit Patra. Modi greeted the crowd by waving his hand and asked for their votes. The enthusiasm of the public was reflected in Modi’s face.
Only the people of Puri didn’t turn out to see Modi; tourists, and locals from other districts also came to see him. What gifts were presented to Modi and how he was dressed differently? There were Odishi dance and horse-cart cultural programs going on. Modi’s roadshow craze was so high that a 1 km roadshow took 1 hour due to heavy public gathering.
