Breaking News: CM Mohan Charan Majhi Declares Two-Day Holiday for Rath Yatra 2024
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has announced a two-day government holiday for Rath Yatra 2024. With the festival set to take place over two days, the Chief Minister directed officials to declare July 8 as a holiday from the Rath Yatra coordination meeting today. He instructed officials to issue a formal notification about the holiday. After the meeting, CM Majhi stated that all preparations were in place to ensure a successful Rath Yatra and sought everyone’s cooperation.
During the review meeting, the Chief Minister stated that this year’s Rath Yatra would be unique and grand. After 53 years, the Rath Yatra will be conducted in this manner. He emphasized that the new government has a unique opportunity.

The two-day festival will come to a successful conclusion with the addition of one more holiday. The Chief Minister urged everyone to work together to ensure that the Rath Yatra ends smoothly and safely. President Droupadi Murmu has expressed her desire to witness and participate in the Rath Yatra, adding to the celebration and pride of the occasion. CM Majhi called on everyone to make this one-of-a-kind Rath Yatra a huge success.
The Rath Yatra review meeting was held today, chaired by the Chief Minister. Deputy Chief Ministers Kanakbardhan Singhdeo and Prabhati Parida, Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan, Commerce Minister Bibhuti Jena, and Health Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahalinga were all present. The meeting was also attended by the Director General of Police and other departmental officials. There were discussions about orderly viewing and crowd control.
