Breaking News: Election Commission to Announce Lok Sabha Election Date Tomorrow
The Election Commission of India has announced that it will reveal the much-anticipated date for the Lok Sabha elections tomorrow. The announcement will be made on March 16, 2024, during a press conference at 3 p.m. in Plenary Hall, Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
In addition to the Lok Sabha election calendar, the dates for assembly elections in Odisha, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, and Andhra Pradesh will be announced.
The event will be live-streamed on all Election Commission social media platforms. According to sources, the Lok Sabha elections will most likely be conducted in seven or eight phases.
The last Lok Sabha elections, held in 2019, were divided into seven phases, with voting taking place from April 11 to May 19, and results declared on May 23. The BJP won 303 seats, a gain from their 2014 total of 282.
