Burla: The OPD has been suspended by the Junior Doctor Association
Sambalpur: A five-point agitation by the JDA in Burla Vimsar has taken a different turn today. As of today, all JDA medical students have withdrawn all routine bits, including OPD. The closure of all doctoral student OPD services has had an impact on patient care. On the other hand, other senior doctors on OPD duty appear to have been pressured by the doctor crisis. Asked by Vimsar’s director, Prof. Dr. Lalit Meher, he acknowledged the pressure on senior doctors and informed the government in writing about the problems of junior doctors. In addition, the agitating students also met the Health Minister and briefed him on the issue yesterday Said Meher.
However, the state government and the central government have strongly demanded that medical student’s problems should be solved as soon as possible. It is learned that PG medical students are continuing their agitation at SSCB, MKCG Medical College, two medical colleges in the state, including Vimsar, demanding the same five points.
The KDA demands to expedite the implementation of non-academic JR appointments in all departments based on the urgent need to expedite the nit-PG 2021 counseling at the central level without delay, to initiate the PG consultation process in the state like any other state. There are also demands for the availability of essential medicines and essentials in casualty ICUs, IPDs, OPDs, and OTs.
