CIPET and Mahanadi Coalfields Sign MoU To Train Youth
Bhubaneswar: The Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), Ministry of Coal, today signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET), Bhubaneswar, under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative.
According to the agreements, CIPET, Bhubaneswar will provide skill development training to youth from mining areas’ peripheral villages.
These two CSR initiatives, ‘Udaan’ and ‘Sahyog,’ will assist 40 youth from mining areas in joining a two-year full-time ITI training in fitter/electrician trades and 30 divyangjan in joining a six-month skill training programme, respectively.
The agreements were signed by PK Chakraborty, MCL’s GM (CSR), and PK Sahoo, Principal Director & Head of CIPET.
