Another victim of cyber fraud in Sambalpur, trapped by ordering Firecrackers online

Fraudsters continue to empty people’s accounts while the police remain limited to reporting cases. On Wednesday, a person named Mohammad Sultan of Sunapali area of ​​Dhanupali police station in Sambalpur was a victim of cyber fraud. Cyber fraud has deducted 86000 rupees from his account.

According to police, Mohammad Sultan ordered firecrackers and some wedding items online. The said goods came from Delhi by DTDC courier service. He did a Google search for the details of the courier and contacted a number to track about the courier.

After the man spoke to him for 12 minutes on the call, he said that one call will go from the local office. Thirty minutes later, he sent him a link and asked him to send it to the local office. Thirty minutes later, Rs 86,339 was deducted from his account.

After learning that he was a victim of fraud, he lodged a written complaint at Dhanupali police station on Thursday. After the complaint, the police registered a case and started investigating the incident.
