Covishield Approved By UK: Decision on Cowin Certificate Today
The UK has approved the Covishield vaccine after receiving a stern warning from India. Covishield is on the UK’s list of approved vaccines. However, the Indian, who has received two doses of Covishield vaccine, will be in quarantine upon arrival in the UK. According to a new directive issued by the UK government, there is no problem with the UK’s Covishield vaccine, but there is a problem with the Vaccine Certificate issued by India. The UK is expected to take a final decision by tomorrow in view of India’s concerns. The new UK travel policy states that those who have been vaccinated in the UK, Europe, the United States or abroad are those who have been vaccinated against Oxford / Astragenica, Phase BioNET, Modern or Johnson. The new travel policy states that a full dose of the vaccine must be given at least 14 days before arrival in England.
The United Kingdom has expressed doubts about India’s Covid vaccination process. Indians who have been fully vaccinated for this reason will also be in quarantine in the UK. India will no longer be on the UK’s Red List after the UK changed its rules. But there has been no quarrel in the quarantine policy. The Indian government has strongly condemned Britain’s vaccine policy and warned that if Britain did not address the issue, India would take similar steps. The UK has since approved the Covishield vaccine and said it would take a decision on Cowin by tomorrow.
