Crime in Sambalpur: Acid attack on husband!
Sambalpur: Crime again in Sambalpur. A woman threw acid on her husband over a family dispute. The incident, which took place in the Fatak area of the city’s Ainthapali police station, has caused a stir. The youth has been admitted to the intensive care unit of the district headquarters hospital in critical condition. On the other hand, there is information that the police picked up the wife of the said young man and interrogated her. But as the matter is very sensitive, neither the police nor the hospital authorities have opened their mouths in this matter.
According to information received from neighbors, this couple is from the Bihar region. However, they came and lived in Sambalpur for the last 4 months. The young man was working in a local junk (କବାଡ଼ି). Every day there was a quarrel between husband and wife over some incident. A similar situation occurred this afternoon as well. The woman went to the door of the police station after the young man beat her up. After returning from there, the woman poured some liquid on her husband’s body while he was awake. In which her husband’s face and half of his body were burnt. Hearing the screams of the youth, the neighbors reached there. They later rescued the youth and took him to the district-main hospital in a critical condition. The young man has been shifted to the burn unit due to burns on his body. But as it is a sensitive case, the youth has been kept in a special room while the hospital authorities are monitoring his health.
