Sambalpur: Danipali Minor Murder Case; 6 Arrested, Including 3 Minors

Sambalpur: The Ainthapali police have arrested six people in connection with the Danipali murder, including three minors. The minors have been transferred to a juvenile correctional facility, while the other three suspects, Rahul Munda (24), Biju Munda (24), and Pradeep Jal (20), have been remanded in judicial custody after their bail was denied. The police also found the murder weapon, a dagger.

Incident Details

The incident occurred on the evening of August 13 at approximately 7:30 p.m. in front of the Danipali office. The victim, Amit Singh (17), became involved in an altercation with the accused, Ranjan Nayak, and other friends. During the confrontation, the six accused surrounded and assaulted Amit. An attacker stabbed Amit in the chest with a dagger, causing him to collapse on the spot. Rescuers rushed him to the District Headquarters Hospital, but due to his critical condition, they later moved him to a private hospital. Unfortunately, doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Swift Police Action

Following the incident, the police organized a special team to apprehend all of the murder suspects. Officers from Ainthapali, Sadar, Dhanupali, and Bareipali police stations worked together on the operation. The team conducted overnight raids in several locations, successfully apprehending all six suspects. The investigation is ongoing, and additional information is expected to emerge as the case progresses.
