Robbery at Kailashchandra Agrawal’s House
Sambalpur: A robbery took place this afternoon at the house of Kailashchandra Agrawal in Poddar Colony, under the jurisdiction of Khetrajpur police station. After the family reported the incident to the police, officers registered a case and started an investigation. However, even by midnight, the police had not arrested the thieves or recovered the stolen items.
Family Left for a Wedding
Today, Kailash’s family went to attend his brother’s wedding. Before leaving around 11:30 AM, they locked the house securely. But, when they returned around 1 PM, they were shocked to find the house in complete disarray. Everything was scattered, and the almirah had been broken into. It was clear that a robbery had occurred.

Valuables Stolen
From the almirah, the thieves stole six sets of gold jewelry, gold coins, other ornaments, and cash. After realizing what had happened, Kailash filed a formal complaint at the police station. The police arrived soon after and began their investigation.
CCTV Footage Captures the Crime
Importantly, the entire incident was recorded on the CCTV camera. According to the footage, the thieves had been watching the house. As soon as Kailash’s family left for the wedding at 11:30 AM, the robbers entered the house. They stayed inside until 12:30 PM, during which they created a mess, stole the valuables, and escaped before anyone noticed.
