Sambalpur: Kuntala Mirdha, a resident of Kilasama in Dhankauda Block, Sambalpur, had long crossed the age of 60. Sadly, her husband had also passed away. To secure financial support, she had applied for a government pension but did not receive it despite repeated efforts.

Upon learning about a public grievance hearing in Dhankauda Block, Kuntala decided to present her complaint directly to District Magistrate (DM) Siddheshwar Baliram Bondar. She arrived at the event hoping to get her issue resolved.
DM’s Immediate Action
After listening to Kuntala’s plea, DM Bondar took immediate action. He approved her pending pension on the spot. In a rare and heartwarming gesture, he invited her to sit in his own chair while personally handing over the pension amount.
