Attempt to Resolve the Situation
The Director of Vimsar, along with the Burla police in charge and the SDPO, met with the students late at night. Despite their efforts, no solution was reached. The house surgeons have since filed a formal complaint about the incident at the Burla police station.
Statements from the Involved Parties
The former president of the UG students’ union, who was injured in the clash, claimed that the PG students attacked them because of previous tensions. However, neither the PG students’ union nor the police have provided an official response to this matter.
Bhavagrahi Rath, the Director of Vimsar, stated that the incident occurred during the UG students’ annual festival. He explained that the conflict arose from a minor disagreement among the students. Despite efforts to mediate and defuse the situation, the conflict worsened.
