Domestic violence case: Anubhav Mohanty was present in court, Barsha sought time
Cuttack: The hearing of actress Varsha Priyadarshini’s domestic violence case against actor and MP Anubhav Mohanty has moved today. While Varsha was absent, Anubhav was personally present in the court during the hearing of the case in the SDJM court today. As the previous investigation was incomplete, more time was needed today on behalf of Varsha. With the permission of the court October 30th has been scheduled for the next hearing of the case. Varsha was interrogated on October 11, ahead of the investigation. During the investigation, the lawyer who was handling the case on behalf of Anubhav asked Varsha various questions, the interrogation was incomplete that day. In the Cuttack Sadar SDJM Court, Varsha filed a case under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act (P.W.D.V Act) 2005 claiming compensation and maintenance. On June 2, 2022, the SDJM court ruled in favor of Varsha’s alternative accommodation arrangement. For this, wife Varsha will have to pay Rs 30,000 as house rent on the 10th of every month. Within two months of receiving the first monthly payment for house rent, Varsha ordered that he leave his parents’ house and move to an alternative residence. On behalf of Varsha, lawyers Ramakrushna Rath and Siddharth Das handling the case and lawyer Lalitendu Mishra are handling the case for Anubhav.
