Sambalpur: Dr. Ramchandani’s One-Rupee Clinic Becomes a Blessing for Poor Patients; Patient Count Reaches 80,000

Sambalpur: The One Rupee Clinic, opened by Dr. Shankar Ramchandani, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy at Vimsar, has reached a significant milestone by treating 80,000 patients. This clinic was established to provide healthcare services to poor patients in Burla.

Dr. Ramchandani announced that the 80,000th patient was Dingar Badhei from Nabarangpur. Patients not only from different districts of Odisha but also from neighboring states like Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand have visited the clinic to receive quality medical care.

A Unique Initiative with Nationwide Recognition

Dr. Ramchandani’s One Rupee Clinic has gained national recognition for its unique approach to healthcare. Apart from medical consultations, the clinic also provides free medicines, ECG tests, and nebulization services. Additionally, Dr. Ramchandani uses his own car as an ambulance to transport helpless patients to the clinic.

Dr. Ramchandani has received widespread appreciation for his dedication to serving underprivileged patients. He has assured that the clinic’s services will continue and, based on his capabilities, he will introduce more free services in the future.

A Journey That Began in 2021

The clinic was inaugurated on January 12, 2021, by Dr. Ramchandani’s late mother, Lajwanti Ramchandani. Since its inception, the clinic has expanded its range of services, continually evolving to meet the needs of poor and helpless patients. Dr. Ramchandani has reaffirmed his commitment to continuing this noble work in the future.
