Sambalpur: Drunk Driving Accident on MG Road of Ring Road, Two Injured
Sambalpur: A Tata Magic vehicle met with an accident near Bhuliapada, close to Khetrajpur police station on Mahatma Gandhi Road (Ring Road) in Sambalpur city. Losing balance, the vehicle climbed onto a divider and crossed to the other side of the road.
In this accident, two people sitting in the vehicle were seriously injured. Upon receiving information from local residents, the police arrived at the scene and rescued the injured. They were first taken to the district headquarters hospital and later shifted to Burla.

On Monday afternoon, a Tata Magic vehicle coming from Durgapali towards Kacheri Chowk in the city suddenly lost balance. The identities of the injured are yet to be ascertained. However, one of the injured was found to be heavily intoxicated. Local people suggest that the accident occurred due to driving under the influence. In the Khetrajpur area, incidents of intoxication have been increasing. Corex and intoxicating tablets are being sold day and night, leading to such incidents, according to complaints.
