Electoral Code of Conduct Violation!
Sambalpur: Three-tier panchayat elections are underway. The first round of voting has been completed. Electoral conduct has a wide range of provisions to facilitate free and fair elections. However, Sambalpur BJP Additional District Magistrate Umakant Raj has lodged a complaint with the state Chief Electoral Commission alleging that the election was a blatant violation of the code of conduct. It shows that, Many government officials and employees in the district are acting like to the ruling BJP. The ballot box was sealed after the first round of voting. But polling agents were not provided with form-11 booths in many districts. As a result, the BJP did not get the polls. This is because of the fact that on the day of the vote, there is a difference between the actual number of votes cast and the counting of votes cast. Similarly, special attention should be paid to the security of polling stations in the district. Central security forces and paramilitary forces, including the state police, should be deployed for security.
Strict government directives should be issued to prevent this from happening again during the next four rounds of voting. District President Girish Patel, District General Secretary Anil Behera, Vice President Fani Bhushan Mishra, Media Coordinator Manas Ranjan Bakshi, Krishak Morcha District President Sameer Ranjan Babu, Colonel Prabhat Panda, Eng. Prabhudatta Panda, Saroj Kumar Ghadai, Pradeep Kumar Supkar, Pradeep Kumar Behera, Shiva Diwan, Kahnuram Sharma, Soumitra Jati, Santosh Dalua, Abhishek Mishra, Hasim Raja, Prabhat Sribhas and Tuku Mohanty were prominently present.
