Sambalpur: The Sambalpur district administration has initiated a fresh anti-encroachment drive, targeting unauthorized structures in critical areas. The operation is currently underway at Motijharan Chowk, with strict measures in place to ensure smooth execution.

Section 163 Enforced for Law and Order

To maintain peace and prevent disruptions, Section 163 has been enforced within a 200-meter radius of Motijharan Chowk. This precautionary measure aims to facilitate the encroachment removal process without causing public unrest.

Targeted Locations for the Drive

The operation extends from Bhutapada Chowk to Dhankauda, focusing on clearing illegally occupied spaces. Despite repeated notices, encroachers failed to vacate the areas, prompting the district administration to take decisive action.

Deployment of Security Personnel

The anti-encroachment drive is being conducted under tight security, with the administration deploying 2 Additional SPs, 2 SDPOs, 5 Police Station Officers, and over 20 platoons of police forces. This extensive security arrangement ensures the safety of officials and effectively prevents any untoward incidents during the operation.

Ensuring a Clear and Organized Sambalpur

With this action, the district administration aims to restore public spaces for lawful use and improve urban management. The anti-encroachment drive will set a strong precedent for adhering to legal norms and preserving public property.

The operation will continue until all encroachments are cleared, ensuring a more organized and accessible Sambalpur for its residents.
