Sambalpur: Five Candidates from Sambalpur Achieve Success in OPSC Exam; A Remarkable Feat

Sambalpur: Five candidates from Sambalpur district achieved notable success in the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) exam, bringing pride to their families and the district.

Biswakesan Purohit – Rank 331

Biswakesan Purohit, from Sarapali village in Naktideul block, received the 331st rank in the OPSC exam. He is the son of Sunil Purohit, who owns a small grocery store in their village. After finishing his education at Debagarh College, Biswakesan relocated to Bhubaneswar to study for the OPSC exam, where his dedication and hard work paid off.

Roshani Khumari – Rank 352

Roshani Rani Khumari of Sambalpur is another high achiever, ranking 352nd. The daughter of Krupasindhu Khumari, President of Kulata Samaj Sambalpur, and Rajani Khumari, studied for the exam online from her home. She stated that interacting with officers from the Indian and Odisha Administrative Services during her interview preparation helped her gain insights into the field and boost her confidence.

Narhari Behera – Rank 568

Narhari Behera, a former Air Force officer from Tangianisha village in Sahibi Panchayat, ranked 568th. He, too, demonstrated exceptional dedication and perseverance in obtaining success on the OPSC exam.

Prarabdha Badapanda – Rank 56

Prarabdha Badapanda from Dhangarapada village in Jujomura block secured the 56th rank in the OPSC exam. She left her job as a software engineer in 2021, aiming to serve the people through the Odisha Administrative Service (OAS). Prarabdha, who believes that “service defines life, not just a career,” is the daughter of retired school inspector and poet Dhaneswar Badapanda and teacher Namita Badapanda.

Pritisuman Pradhan – Rank 364

Similarly, Pritisuman Pradhan from Burla City achieved the 364th rank in the OPSC exam on her first attempt. After completing her studies at Burla DAV School and obtaining a postgraduate degree from Bhubaneswar’s OUAT, Pritisuman also passed the UGC NET exam. Currently, she works as an assistant professor at Mitu College in Rayagada. She is the daughter of Subas Chandra Pradhan, who serves as a manager in MCL’s finance department, and Annapurna Pradhan.
