Gold Prices on a Steady Rise: Touches ₹66,000, Up by ₹3,800 in March Alone
Gold prices in India have been rising steadily throughout March, reaching new highs. Gold prices surpassed ₹66,000 per 10 grams on Friday, marking the seventh straight day of increases. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold prices reached ₹66,023 for 10 grams after the market closed, marking a historic moment.
Internationally, the price of gold has risen, reaching $2,185 per ounce on the world market. Experts attribute this spike to the dollar’s weakness and the Federal Reserve’s likely interest rate cut.
Notably, in March alone, the price of gold has seen an increase of approximately ₹3,800. At the end of February, gold was priced at ₹62,567 per 10 grams. On March 8, it touched a record high of ₹66,356 per 10 grams, up ₹3,789. Gold prices may soon surpass ₹70,000 if current trends continue.
