Sambalpur: In a shocking incident in Sambalpur’s Ainthapali area, a son murdered his mother’s lover. According to police reports, a 42-year-old woman from Canalpada in Ainthapali had been living with Balram Munda (25) for five years. The woman also has a son, and they have recently had ongoing family disputes.
Family Dispute Escalates
On Wednesday night, the three’s arguments turned physical. The woman’s son got angry and beat both his mother and Balram with a stick. Balram received severe head injuries. Consequently, Balram succumbed to his injuries on Thursday evening.

Police Investigation Underway
The body was seized by Ainthapali police, and an investigation into the incident has begun. While the woman’s son is currently missing, the police have filed a report and begun their search for him. Authorities have transported Balram’s body to Burla for an autopsy. Medical staff have admitted the injured woman, who is in critical condition, to the Sambalpur District Headquarters Hospital for treatment.
