GST raid on 5 places in Sambalpur
Sambalpur: Various business establishments are coming up with new ways to break the GST. Police in riot gear stormed a rally on Wednesday, removing hundreds of protesters by truck. A joint raid on Goel Furniture shops and warehouses in Sambalpur town on Tuesday. The GST department raided two places in Mudipada, Tangerpali, Bareipali and Ainthapali.
According to Satish Ranjan Jalal, Deputy Commissioner, Jharsuguda, GS Enforcement Unit, five places were raided at the same time and documents were being checked. An investigation will determine whether the GS was actually fraudulent. It is chaired by Deputy Commissioner Subodh Kumar Panda.
According to Mr. Panda, the report has been submitted to the commissioner, who will investigate the allegations. Rourkela Deputy Commissioner Ramesh Kumar Mandal, Jharsuguda Deputy Commissioner Satish Ranjan Jallu, Sambalpur Deputy Commissioner Subodh Kumar Panda and Deputy Commissioner Kishore Chandra Meher were formed on Wednesday.
