Sambalpur: Healthcare Boost; CT Scan Facility Now Operational at Sambalpur District Hospital, No More Travel to Burla
Sambalpur: Residents of Sambalpur no longer need to travel to Burla’s Vimsar or private centers for a CT scan. For the first time, the Sambalpur District Headquarters Hospital has launched its CT scan service. This facility comes as a relief to many who have long demanded it. Various organizations, including Swabhiman Sambalpur, have consistently raised the issue, pressing for the introduction of this crucial diagnostic service at the district hospital.
Prior Challenges and Public Demand
Doctors frequently referred patients needing a CT scan to Burla. However, due to the large number of patients at Vimsar, long wait times were common, resulting in significant delays and inconvenience. Some patients had to wait days for their scans. To avoid the wait, many people turned to private diagnostic centers, which proved expensive. This resulted in widespread dissatisfaction and increased demand for a local CT scan facility.
