Heavy Rain Expected from Tomorrow: Yellow Warning Issued for 16 Districts
Starting tomorrow, the state will see an increase in rainfall due to active monsoon effects. As a result, a yellow warning has been issued for 16 districts, signaling the possibility of heavy rainfall.
Districts Under Yellow Warning
The districts of Puri, Khordha, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Kandhamal, and Nayagarh are under yellow warning. Rainfall in these areas is expected to range between 7 and 11 centimeters.
Potential for Thunderstorms
Some areas may also experience thunderstorms with lightning. The weather department has predicted this additional risk for the aforementioned districts.

Alert for Extremely Heavy Rainfall
The regional meteorological authorities have issued a heightened alert for extremely heavy rainfall in six districts on August 7: Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Boudh, Sambalpur, and Deogarh. These areas could receive rainfall ranging from 12 to 20 centimeters.
Ongoing Rainfall Forecast
The Regional Meteorological Center predicts that rainfall will continue throughout the state until the 9th of this month. Authorities advise residents in affected areas to stay alert and take appropriate precautions.
