Sambalpur: Hit-and-Run Incident; Car Driver Injures Five and Flees, Victims Hospitalized
Sambalpur: In a shocking incident yesterday evening, a car driver went on a rampage on the busy streets of Sambalpur, hitting and injuring five bikers and scooter riders before fleeing the scene. The accident occurred around 7:30 PM.
The Incident
A white car speeding from Big Bazaar to Cheruapada hit a scooter rider near Rail Nagar and then collided with a bike. Continuing its reckless journey, the car injured three more people on Central School Road before disappearing.

Casualties and Medical Response
Vishal Sharma (24) from PWD Colony was among those injured, suffering severe head injuries as well as multiple other wounds. Vishal was initially taken to the local Sadar Hospital before being transferred to Burla Medical due to the severity of his condition. The other injured people were transported to various private hospitals, but their identities remain unknown.
Police Investigation
In response to the hit-and-run, the police launched a thorough investigation, actively looking for the fleeing vehicle. Police are analyzing CCTV footage from several locations to identify and apprehend the culprit.
