In Sambalpur district, 4 more cases of Omicron Variant have been identified

Today, four more cases of omicron Variant were reported in Sambalpur district, Burla Hospital. One of the four is a Canadian returnee and has been admitted to Burla Vimsar’s Covid Second Hospital since Jan 3. His sample was sent to Bhubaneswar ILS for genom sequencing on 3rd Jan, but today he identified with omicron positive. Three other returnees were from Puri. However, the three Samples of Puri returnees were sent for genom sequencing on December 28 after their RTPCR Test was positive. Today their report came omicron positive. However, after 14 days of infection, they are now living in home isolation, according to Vimsar authorities.
