In the last four days, India’s daily Covid tally has remained below 30,000
After a few days of steady drop in daily cases, India saw a little increase in new Covid cases on Wednesday. India has documented 27,176 instances in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 cases in the country to 3,33,16,755.
According to a report released by the Union Health Ministry on Wednesday, the daily Covid tally throughout the country has stayed below 30,000 for the last four days.
On Tuesday, there were 25,404 new instances, 27,254 on Monday, and 28,591 on Sunday.
The country’s total Covid death toll has risen to 4,43 497, with 284 new fatalities recorded in the last 24 hours. For the past few days, the fatality rate has stayed at 1.33 percent.
The number of active cases has also decreased by 11,120, bringing the overall number of active cases in the country to 3,51,087, or 1.5 percent of the total Covid infection documented since early 2020.
In the same time period, 38,012 Covid-infected individuals have recovered, bringing the overall number of recoveries in the country to 3,25,22,171. According to Ministry data, the Covid recovery rate increased to 97.62 percent on Wednesday.
