Inauguration (ଉଦ୍ଘାଟନ) of Mahanadi Utsav (ମହାନଦୀ ଉତ୍ସବ)at Tapaswini Hall
The Nine-day festival is inaugrated on Thursday at the Tapaswini District Theater with a colorful cultural program. The Mahanadi is the lifeline of Odisha. This has been playing the role of the mother of the people of Odisha. The great river mother has given us water, allowed us to give light. “Everyone needs to take responsibility for the safety of the Mahanadi,”
Ranjan Sahu’s dance drama Mahanadi was performed. Chetanamayi Behera, Samaran Pradhan, Padmini Bora performed the music. A group dance was performed under the leadership of Mr. Behera. Similarly, artists from Rangfarua performed under the direction of Durga Das. All the activities were carried out under the supervision of Shubhkar Mohanty, SMC Enforcement Officer.
The function was presided over by Pradeep Kumar Sahu. The dance was presided over by Prafulla Hota, Executive President, Jagar Kala Sanskriti Sanghar. Shyamsunder Dhai joined as a guest. Prizes were awarded to the winners of various previous competitions. Samarika Das Dubey and Durga Das coordinated the program.
