Sambalpur: Inauguration of Rs. 150 Crore Vimsar Super Specialty Hospital and Burla Police Station; Inaugurated by Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan

Sambalpur: Today, Friday, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will inaugurate two major projects in Burla the much-awaited Vimsar Super Speciality Hospital block and the new Burla police station building.

Details of the Projects

The Super Speciality block at Vimsar has been built at a cost of Rs. 150 crore, while the new Burla police station building has been constructed for Rs. 3.45 crore.

To prepare for the event, the district administration, Vimsar authorities, and Sambalpur police have been holding multiple meetings. On May 26, Sambalpur MLA Jayanarayan Mishra visited the Super Speciality block to inspect preparations. Afterward, the Collector also reviewed the readiness twice with Vimsar officials.

Tight Preparations Ahead of Inauguration

Every day, Vimsar officials have been holding back-to-back meetings to ensure everything runs smoothly. Today, the Collector chaired another key meeting inside the Super Speciality block conference hall to finalize preparations.

To make sure patient care is not disrupted during the event, Vimsar authorities have issued notices to all doctors, staff, and faculty asking them not to take leave on May 29 and 30. The hospital director has personally requested everyone’s cooperation for a successful event.

Schedule of the Inauguration

At 5:00 PM, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will inaugurate the Super Speciality Hospital block. He will be joined by:

• Health Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling
• Rural Development & Panchayati Raj Minister Ravi Narayan Nayak
• Sambalpur MLA Jayanarayan Mishra
• Redhakhol MLA Prasanna Acharya
• Rengali MLA Sudarshan Haripal
• Senior officials from the district administration and Vimsar

Afterward, a public meeting will take place inside the new Vimsar auditorium, where ministers, MLAs, doctors, medical students, staff, and the general public will be addressed.

Police Station Inauguration in the Evening

Later in the evening, around 6:30 PM, Minister Pradhan will inaugurate the new Burla police station building, located near the Burla Planetarium.

Before this, top police officials including Northern Range IG Himanshu Lal, Sambalpur Collector Siddheshwar Baliram Bondar, and Sambalpur SP Mukesh Bhamo have reviewed the preparations. Work is progressing in full swing to ensure the police station inauguration also goes smoothly.

Since the Super Speciality Hospital is seen as a major hope for western Odisha residents, there is already a wave of excitement among the public ahead of today’s inauguration.
