Integrated infrastructure complex will be functional, homeless and helpless people will find shelter
Sambalpur: The integrated infrastructure complex at Baijamunda village under Sambalpur Metropolitan Corporation at a cost of Rs 25 cr 43 lakh 62 thousand has been commissioned from today. The integrated infrastructure complex, which was launched with the aim of empowering the needy and beggars who have been living homeless lives for so long, has been designed to provide them with skills training.
Uttaranchal Revenue Commissioner Dr. Suresh Chandra Dalei, District Commissioner Divyajyoti Parida, SP B. Gangadhar chief were present. A survey was conducted by the District Social Security and Differentiated Empowerment Department and identified beggars sitting outside bus stands, railway station temples, malls, etc.
Yoga and medical care will be available and provide high-quality food, accommodation, entertainment, and sports equipment to keep the body healthy. People who lived and begged for help were forced to do so, but now they can get the benefits. The 47 beggars who were rescued were shifted in the first phase, said Rabindra Nath Satpathy, district diversification officer.
Such efforts by the district administration towards making Sambalpur district free of beggars are undoubtedly commendable.
