Jio Gives Big Shock to Customers Before New Year; Makes Changes to 2 Popular Recharge Plans
Before the New Year, telecom company Jio has surprised its customers by making changes to two of its popular recharge plans. Instead of offering New Year benefits, Jio has altered the terms of some plans, leading to dissatisfaction among its users.
Affected Plans: Rs. 19 and Rs. 29 Data Vouchers
Jio has revised its Rs. 19 and Rs. 29 data vouchers, which were previously popular among customers. Earlier, these plans offered 1GB and 2GB data, respectively, with validity tied to the user’s primary recharge plan. However, Jio has now modified the validity structure.

New Validity Details
- Rs. 19 Plan: Now offers 1GB of data with only 1-day validity. The validity will expire on the day of recharge, regardless of the user’s primary plan.
- Rs. 29 Plan: Offers 2GB of data with 2-day validity. Customers must use the data within two days, as the validity will not extend beyond that.
These changes have disappointed many users, as the previous plans provided more flexibility. Jio customers are now required to use their data within the shorter validity periods. For frequent and short-term data users, these changes may still be beneficial, but overall reactions indicate dissatisfaction.
