Job Vacancy: Gram Rozgar Sevak (GRS) under MGNREGA in Sambalpur District

The Zilla Parishad, Sambalpur invites applications from eligible candidates to fill 101 vacancies for the post of Gram Rozgar Sevak (GRS) on a contractual basis under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGA). The selected candidates will be engaged in various Gram Panchayats across Sambalpur district.

Key Details:

• Remuneration:
  • ₹7,000 per month (initially)
  • ₹8,500 per month (after 1 year but less than 6 years)
  • ₹8,880 per month (after 6 years)
• Contract Duration: One year, with possible extensions based on performance.

Vacancies:

• Total: 101 posts
  • UR: 34 (17 Women)
  • SEBC: 17 (4 Women)
  • SC: 15 (5 Women)
  • ST: 35 (16 Women)

Eligibility Criteria:

• Educational Qualification: Minimum of 10+2 pass with knowledge of Odia language.
• Computer Proficiency: Candidates must have an ‘O’ level certificate in computer proficiency from NIELIT or equivalent courses like BCA, PGDCA, etc.

Age Limit:

• Candidates must have attained the age of 18 years and must not be above 40 years as on the date of 01/09/2024 (the first day of the month during which the recruitment process starts).
• Age relaxation:
  • 5 years for SC/ST/SEBC/Women candidates
  • 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (PwD)
  • For Ex-Servicemen: The upper age limit is relaxable by the total period of service rendered in defense services, subject to a maximum age of 45 years.
