Kolkata Female Doctor’s Rape-Murder Case: CBI Uncovers Major Breakthrough

Sambalpur: The nation is still outraged over the brutal rape and murder of a female doctor at Kolkata’s R.G. Kar Hospital. Doctors across the country have been protesting the horrific incident and demanding justice. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is now in charge of the investigation, and on Friday, it interrogated Sandeep Ghosh, the former principal of R.G. Kar Medical College and Hospital.

Interrogations and Investigation Progress

The CBI is preparing to question 35 trained doctors, interns, and others connected to the case. Meanwhile, the agency has examined CCTV footage from the hospital, which shows the accused, Sanjay Roy, moving around the premises.

According to CBI sources, CCTV footage shows that Sanjay Roy entered the hospital around 11 p.m. on Thursday night. He remained there for about 30 minutes, and his movements within the hospital were clearly visible. He returned to the hospital between 3:45 and 3:50 a.m. and was seen entering the seminar room. Roy left the room about 35 minutes later.

Crucial Timelines and Evidence

According to the information, the victim and her colleagues ordered food around midnight through an online app. As part of the investigation, the Kolkata Police recorded the delivery boy’s statement.

According to the post-mortem report, the victim died between 3:30 and 4:00 a.m., or about 4 hours after her last meal. The CBI has also obtained statements from four doctors who shared the meal ordered online and dined with the victim that night.
