Land scam in Sambalpur, Sold 4 acres of land by showing 2 dead people alive

SambalpurLand scam in Sambalpur, Sold 4 acres of valuable land by showing 2 dead people alive. One such incident took place in Gudesingha village under Maneshwar tehsil. However, the role of the police in this whole affair is in doubt. After complaining to the administration police no case was reported.

According to the complaint, two brothers, Prashant Pradhan and Padmanabh Pradhan, both residents of Sankundesara village in Jamnagar block, alleged that their mother, Vanumati Pradhan and father Sanatan Pradhan, owned 12 acres and 82 deciles of land in Gudesinha village under Maneshwar tehsil. Vanumati Pradhan died on November 12,1999 and Sanatan Pradhan died on April 5, 2001.

However, in 2014, some villains sold four acres of land to a man in the village of Shikrapalli. At the time of registration by replacing the deceased Vanumati and Sanatan with others the land has been sold. In place of the deceased Vanumati and Sanatan there are also 4 photos of the person involved.

Sanatan was a teacher. He always signed in English. However, the document has Sanatan’s signature in Oriya. Vanumati, on the other hand, did not know the signature. A few days later the land buyer was plowing the land. Upon hearing this, they (Prashant and Padmanabha) arrived and refused to plow. He said he had been buying land since 2014. They allege that Vanamuti, who did not know how to read, and Sanatan, who was signing in English, had the land confiscated by showing fake signatures and different photos.

On the 24th, they (Prashant and Padmanabha) went to the police station to report the incident. however, to date the police have not filed a case or even investigated the incident. The role of the police, on the other hand, is also questionable, they said.

Asked by Jhaloknath Sahu, a government police officer, he said the complained was written but the case was not filed because the required documents had not been submitted. The truth will come to the fore after a high-level investigation was launched into the incident.
