Local People block National Highway in Bareipali chowk: Traffic disrupted
Sambalpur: Locals blocked the road at Bareipali under Sambalpur Aithapali police station. A man has blocked the Dhobijor canal drainage near JMJ Hospital by throwing soil. This often results in situations like artificial flooding. Because of this, the locals are facing various problems. Despite repeated complaints to the administration, no permanent solution has been found to date. The authorities did not listen to their problems, so hundreds of locals are forced to blocked National Highway 53 from 9:30 a.m on Friday.
BJP district president Girish Patel also reached the spot and expressed his support for the people and demanded a solution to the problem. Police and administration officials were called to the scene and make people understand. After receiving a promise from the person who blocked the drain that he would not do anything until find a solution of that place. At around 12:30 p.m., locals withdrew from the protest.
