Looter violence again at zero points, beat with stone,robbed scooter and mobile phone
Sambalpur: Looting violence is on the rise at Zero Point near Hirakud Right Dike. On the 23rd, five miscreants robbed a mobile phone and beat Mohammad Irshad of Bhutapada. Although Police arrest the culprits, but not successful in decreasing the crimes. In the Zero Point area on Wednesday even greater looting has taken place. A young man was stoned to death by robbers and robbed his scooty and mobile phone.
According to sources, Shubham Singh, 20, of Khetrajpur, went for a walk with his friend at around 3 pm on Wednesday. On their way back at 6pm, Shubham urinated near Zero Point and sent his friend for breakfast. While Shubham was sitting alone, three miscreants grabbed him from behind and robbed his mobile phone. He was stoned to death for protesting. After he fell, they took his mobile phone, Rs 1,000, a key and looted the scooter and fled. Police have launched an investigation into the incident after Shubham complained.
People are complaining that the number of looters is increasing in zero point because of sluggish police patrols.
