Jyotiranjan Das, a resident of Bidyadharpur village, was deeply in love with Aparajita from Gopal Sahi. However, after some time, Aparajita began avoiding him, which enraged Jyotiranjan. He frequently demanded to meet her, and when she refused, he started threatening her and her family with dire consequences.

Threats Escalate to Arson
Despite repeated rejections, Jyotiranjan warned Aparajita that he would harm her and her family if she did not agree to marry him. Finally, in a fit of rage, he set fire to her family’s house. The fire destroyed their five-room home, reducing furniture, gold jewelry, and other valuables to ashes.
Family Files Police Complaint
The victim’s family immediately filed a complaint at Dhamnagar police station. They alleged that Jyotiranjan had been harassing Aparajita for a long time and that his actions were premeditated.
