Sambalpur: During the ongoing Lok Mahotsav festival, some food stall vendors were accused of preparing and selling low-quality food items. These complaints raised concerns about public health and safety at the event.

Food Safety Inspection Conducted

Acting on the complaints, the Municipal Food Safety Department conducted inspections at various food stalls. Officials thoroughly checked the quality of food items, focusing on food colors, oil, and other ingredients used. Additionally, they reviewed the validity of food licenses held by the stall owners to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.

Penalty Imposed

As a result of the inspection, authorities imposed a fine of Rs. 5,000 for violations. The penalty aimed to reinforce food safety standards and ensure the public received safe, high-quality food during the festival.
