Seizure of 44 kg of Ganja in Sambalpur
Sambalpur: In Sambalpur city, the Excise Police have seized 44 kg of ganja, which was being transported out of the state from the Dhanupali Square. The total value of the seized ganja is estimated at Rs. 8.45 lakh. The two suspects involved in this incident are Lakhbinder Singh (29) and Kuldeep (29), both from Punjab. They have been arrested, and an NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act) case has been registered against them.

Details of the Seizure
The police grew suspicious when a vehicle, driven by Mahendra Majo, was transporting the ganja. After a thorough search, the ganja was found hidden in the vehicle’s dickey. The police promptly confiscated the substance and began their investigation.
Legal Action Taken
A case under section 237/24-25 of the NDPS Act has been filed at the Sambalpur Excise Police Station against the accused.
