MLA changed the future of weavers ; Village Charpali is the first in the country which is operated by Solar

Sambalpur: Charpali becomes the first solar-powered village in the country. The village of Charpali in Sambalpur, where the weavers live, is now the talk of the town. The fate of more than 49 weavers living in the village has changed due to the solar system. Along with this , Charpali is considered as the country’s first solar system village.

Charpali is a small village in the Maneswar Block. It looks like a normal village. The village is unique it is the country’s first solar-powered village. Solar panel systems has been installed in every house of the village. In every house, bulb is burning and fan is running in solar. There are more than 40 weavers families lives in this village.

In the past, the Waver family was facing a lot of problems when the power went out. Without a power line, it would have been impossible to weave a shawl. But now the fate of these weavers has changed because of the solar system. The Selco Foundation has changed the fortunes of the weavers and the village. At the request of local legislator Rohit Pujari, the Selco Foundation has launched a solar project in the village for the benefit of weavers.

Based on the solar project, the houses of all the weavers in Charpali village will be connected to the solar system and arrangements will be made so that bulbs and fans can run in all the houses. With the launch of the solar system, Charpali has become the first village in the country to operate a solar system.

So in the future, it is public opinion that this project needs to be done in other villages of the district.
