“NASA” Experts wanted India to sell Space Technology after seeing Chandrayaan-3 craft development being made cheaply: ISRO Chief S. Somanath
Rameswaram: During the construction of Chandrayaan-3, a delegation of NASA scientists who came to the ISRO headquarters were amazed to see the advanced technology developed by Indian astronauts at such a low cost and expressed their desire that India sell this technology to the US, ISRO Chairman S. Somnath said.
On the occasion of the 92nd birthday of the eminent scientist and former President, Late A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, Addressing the students in the program organized by Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Foundation ISRO Chief Somnathan said We explained the technology of Chandrayaan-3 to about 5/6 people who came from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory to ISRO headquarters. They said, “There is nothing to comment on.” Everything will be done smoothly. They also said, Look at all the scientific equipment, so beautiful and so cheap. It is very easy to make and the technology is also superior. How did you make it? Why not sell all this to America?
Talking to the students, S. Somnath said, times have changed. We are able to build the best tools, the best equipment, and the best rockets. That’s why our Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened space. The knowledge and intelligence of our country are famous. One day India will be a very powerful nation. We will also be strong in technology.
