Sambalpur: The persistent neglect of medical care at Vimsar is clear, with a lack of coordination among various departments that directly affects patients. Shiv Kumhar (46) from Mangalbazar, Jharsuguda district, admitted to Vimsar on May 24th in an unconscious state with a fractured leg, remains untransferred to the Orthopedic Department despite repeated requests. Lack of Coordination and Response
Despite the Medicine Department’s written communication regarding the patient’s condition, there has been no action taken in a month to transfer him to the Orthopedic Department. The patient remains in the Medicine Ward, unattended and without proper treatment. The situation has drawn widespread condemnation.
Immediate Action Promised by Medical Superintendent
Upon hearing about the situation, Professor Dr. Lalmohan Nayak, the Medical Superintendent, admitted he was unaware of the case but promised immediate action to ensure the patient receives proper treatment.
