Sambalpur: At 9:30 a.m. today, Siddheshwar Baliram Bondar took over as Sambalpur’s new District Collector. After taking over, he went straight to Bamra block and participated in a public hearing.
Commitment to Public Welfare
Collector Bondar pledged to address public welfare concerns in Sambalpur. He emphasized that, with Maa Samaleswari’s blessings, he will prioritize resolving public concerns and working towards the district’s overall development. He assured that he would make all decisions in consultation with administrative officers to speed up development activities.

The new Collector intends to visit every corner of the district to gain a better understanding of the issues and challenges that residents face. He emphasized the importance of focusing on grassroots development and pledged significant efforts in this direction.
Welcoming Ceremony for the New Collector
This afternoon, a grand welcome ceremony was held at Panthnivas to welcome the new Collector. Several district officials, as well as members of the employees’ association, met with him and extended their greetings. Mr. Bondar was warmly welcomed to the district office this morning by Additional District Magistrate (Revenue) Ajamber Mahanti, Deputy Collector, and other departmental officers.
A Seasoned Administrator
Siddheshwar Baliram Bondar, a 2016 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the Odisha cadre, has built a notable career. He served as Sub-Collector of Gunupur, held the position of Commissioner of Brahmapur Municipal Corporation, and worked as Collector of Bhadrak. During his tenure in these roles, he earned recognition for his efficient administration.
