Sambalpur: New Shooting Academy Inaugurated in Sambalpur; Event Hosted Under the Chairmanship of Colonel Prabhat Panda

Sambalpur: The Sambalpur Rifle Association, affiliated with the Odisha Rifle Association, has officially inaugurated its new shooting academy near Royal Retreat, Bhalupali, Sambalpur. The academy aims to promote professional shooting sports and provide advanced training facilities for aspiring shooters in the region.

Grand Inauguration Ceremony

The opening ceremony was held under the chairmanship of Colonel Prabhat Panda. Several dignitaries and defense officials actively participated in the event, making it a memorable occasion.

Key Guests Present

The event was graced by the chief guest, Brigadier Abhimanyu Rout, a distinguished Vishisht Seva Medal (VSM) awardee. Several other prominent figures also attended, including Colonel Kadam Prasad Yadav, Group Commander of NCC Sambalpur; Colonel Sahu, Administrative Commandant of Sambalpur Military Station; Lieutenant Colonel Bimal Panigrahi; Colonel K.K. Mishra; Artatran Mishra; Gurdeep Gill; and Dr. Binod Nayak, all of whom contributed to the ceremony’s significance and grandeur.

Key officials from the Odisha Rifle Association – Secretary Hariprasad Nayak, Joint Secretary Ashish Nayak, and Treasurer Balabhadra Das – attended the ceremony and added prestige to it.

The academy’s primary goal is to nurture local talent and provide a platform for youth to excel in professional shooting sports. The well-equipped facility aims to train shooters for both state and national-level competitions.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives for promoting sports excellence in the region.
